0800 numbers in business

May 25, 2009 by

The best chance of getting enquiries, is what I wanted to be sure of upon opening my marketing business. To attract more people to call us, I had used the usual formats of newspapers and the internet.

Enquiries are increased up to 185% in businesses by using 0800 numbers according to the research made by “Institute of direct marketing.” The reason is because people sense that feeling that their enquiries are important to you and that it is a privilege for you to help them. Teleculture 2000’s study had provided business an important data in terms of the number of people who would always call the 0800 numbers is at 63%. Call management systems in place is the other advantage when using a free phone number. It is flexible to answer the phone calls or direct them to right place. You can take the number with you anywhere even while moving to larger premises with the help of these numbers.

0800 numbers can easily be redirected to a landline or mobile number. With the number remaining constant, there is no need to get new signs, paperwork or marketing material any more.

Many businesses like to seem that they have a national presence when they only have a local base, this can be for many reasons but the important thing is that the 0800 numbers give that impression to the person looking at your advertisement, you can seem as though you have offices all over the country and it is hopped that this will build confidence.

I'm not the person you're looking for, but I wanted to give a helpful tip. Besides "software analyst" web analysts are high in demand. With your skills set, you could easily pick it up. If you're interested, check out Avinash Kaushik.

A 1-800# means you can contact some companies and they wont charge you for contacting them. The connection itself through the communication providers, however, isn't. And the charges differ from state to state. Especially where connections can be a little difficult like in the Mountain areas, for instance, or anywhere where signals can be blocked off. It's like this:

you > call > mobile provider > land provider > company

this is also why, when the telecommunication company is down, some companies' internet networks go down too–and it's not because of the telephone per se but the connection (server, wires etc).

0800 numbers are not included in your inclusive minutes, it may be worth visiting and seeing if you can find the normal landline number of the company you want to phone, that way you would use your inclusive minutes.

    Hope this helps.

Insurance policy add-on will cover air travellers for cancelled flights and closed airspace due to volcanic ash or terrorism Holidaymakers can insure their trips against the risk of cancellation caused by volcanic ash from the beginning of June following the launch of an optional add-on to standard travel insurance policies. From 1 June, customers who are buying or renewing annual or single-trip policies from Aviva will be able to buy additional travel cover to protect against cancellation caused by airspace closure, or by an airport or port being closed for more than 24 hours from the date and time of scheduled departure. Existing Aviva travel policyholders can buy the add-on during June only (although the cover will extend until the end of the policy) by calling 0800 051 3606 or visiting Aviva’s website, while new customers can buy it anytime. The additional policy – which costs £5 per insured person for a single trip or £10 per person for annual insurance – provides cover of up to…

From your error message, it is happening in the CustomerMain class, and readProfile method.

I cannot see the line number, as Yahoo has truncated it.

This line in your error message will tell you which line is the problem.

    at CustomerMain.readProfile(CustomerMain.ja…

Find the line it is talking about and see what the problem could be.

Sorry I could not be of more help.
