Ever Experience A Bad Laptop Moment?

January 31, 2009 by

Does this sound familiar? You are running way too late and need to go, but you have to first get on your computer to print something. You do not have any time to waste. So you try to open up the application and all of a sudden your computer freezes or comes to a stand still. You think to yourself, why now!

If that does not sound familiar you must be new to computing or have been very lucky! The problem may be a simple as your registry files are crudded up and they need to be repaired. But do not worry about calling a computer expert as there is software available to download that may be able to help you by scanning your computer to see if there are errors that need to be fixed.

The cause of these errors to your registry files are likely due to you adding and removing programs over time as well as other normal computing. Of course many times when trying to uninstall software the registry files do not get properly changed. To help avoid that from happening one thing to do is use special software when you need to uninstall programs from you computer that will help do it properly.

Now it is possible that your computer is just too old and it can not handle all the software or applications you are running on it. You could try to upgrade it if that is the problem by buying more ram for your computer to see if that helps speed it up.

But before you go investing in new computer hardware you should first download some software to run a free scan to see if repairing the registry files will help you with a tune up pc and let you get back to work.

Another thing that could slow down your computer is if you have too many applications or programs trying to load when you start up your pc. If this is the case you can either use software to help you clean up windows startup or you can do it manually.

my dear. you are failing to see the obvious here. the more powerful the hardware is, the dumber the software can be. we don’t need a crappy optimized windows mobile edition when we can run a full blown vista ultimate on the same device. its the ultimate dream. imagine an enraged monkey with a jedi sword.

The Poisson distribution is just a mathematical construction.

What does it have to do with "data sets"?

Your question really makes very little sense.

If you are asking about what it has to do with "real life" probability distributions, you should know that it is the limit of the binomial distribution — as you asked in your question here:

But both are "exact" probabilities. So is a bell curve. They are all mathematical constructions.

Are they relevant to "real life"? That depends on the question!

IQs are exactly distributed to a bell curve. Human height is approximated by one.

The odds of getting a certain number of heads when you flip a coin repeatedly is exactly distributed to a binomial distribution. Some other thing might be only approximated by a binomial distribution.

And some other thing might be an exact Poisson distribution, or might only be approximated.

Your question isn't really asking the right thing. You should try to better understand what it is you're asking questions about, then formulate a question that can address your concerns or confusion.

Go to Target and get a USB guitar cord. One end fits in your guitar and the other fits in a USB port of your computer. They cost around $30.00.

bring tapes to costco. done. aside from that you need a USB capture device and special use software.

Reboot your comp with a boot disk of your OS, go to safe mode, shut it down properly, reboot.
    If still not working:
Reboot with the boot disk of your OS, go to safe mode, to Accessories, and make a system restore at the closest date when your comp was still good.
    If still not working
    Your HD is dead
