These are great resource that you found, annie! I think it's really interesting how social media can interact with all age groups, interest groups, and just wide range of publics. And as David said earlier, the world of blogging and social networks will increase in the future to develop something better. I'm curious how social media will change in the future to better the interactivity between corporations and their publics.

Interesting article although it does not come to a conclusion that is very satisfying. I'm still a believer in this idea when it comes to middle elementary to middle school age groups. The benefits of targeted education as well as the lessening of the hormonal over stimulus that is Junior High is enough of a reason in itself to try these methods out.

Gel electrophoresis is technique used to separate DNA fragments based on their size using an electric current applied to a gel matrix. Because the DNA is negatively charged, it moves through potential difference (to the positive end). There are small pored in the gel, so the big fragments don't move so far, and the small once move farther.

Gel electrophoresis has many applications like for genetic fingerprinting, paternity testing and determination of risk for a disease.

Another DNA technique is PCR or polymerase chain reaction which "is a technique to amplify a single or few copies of a piece of DNA across several orders of magnitude, generating millions or more copies of a particular DNA sequence. "
"PCR is now a common and often indispensable technique used in medical and biological research labs for a variety of applications.[2][3] These include DNA cloning for sequencing, DNA-based phylogeny, or functional analysis of genes; the diagnosis of hereditary diseases; the identification of genetic fingerprints (used in forensic sciences and paternity testing); and the detection and diagnosis of infectious diseases."
