What is CD DVD Duplication
December 4, 2009 by JoelC2009 · 7 Comments
You may have heard people talk about CD duplication. Most people consider that it just assume copying a DVD. However, it’s the technically duplication of optical media – generally the production of a small number of DVDs from existing CD Disc onto recordable DVD+R Disc. This is common among musicians, software companies, and other groups that need to have a number of copies of their discs made.
If you’re a business that needs to have DVDs copied, or just have a personal project involving DVD duplication, you don’t have to do it yourself. Companies exist to do this job for you. When you go looking for a service to help you, chances are that you’ll be asked what sort of disc you’ll need. Not all DVDs are the same, after all. The DVDs used in small orders are different from those used in larger duplication batches.
Unlike tape duplication, copying DVDs doesn’t cause the quality of the copies to degrade. Since DVDs simply store data, and there’s no damage to that data in transfer, there’s actually very little difference between the original and the copy. It’s more like moving files on your computer than copying a tape. However, DVD duplication can’t make the copy any better than the original data you provide. There are some mistakes that can be made, which can hurt the quality of your copied DVDs. The best way to avoid these is to make sure you’re working with a quality DVD duplication company. Beware of offers that seem too cheap to be real. Chances are, shortcuts are being taken, which can hurt your end product.
If you need to produce copies of a music or multimedia disc, marketing and business materials, or just a personal project, DVD duplication could be helpful. However, whether or not you’ll need to pay an outside company for this service depends on the quantity of discs you want. If you require only a few, you can do the job yourself, using a quality DVD burner. If you’ll need more than that, paying for DVD duplication by a professional takes the hassle out of your hands.
Talk to the representative of any DVD duplicator company you’re thinking of working with to decide what options will produce the best quality DVDs for your project in the most efficient way. That way, you’ll be able to balance concerns about cost with those about quality, and get the best DVDs for your needs.

Notaries are public officials
October 24, 2009 by JoelC2009 · 12 Comments
A notary public is an official appointed position by the Secretary of State’s department in a given state. Just like most public officials, the State specifies that the individual get a surety bond prior to getting their appointment. This bond “makes sure” that if the official violates the public trust through negligence of their duties, funds are available to reimburse the State for its loss.
The main duty of notary publics is to ensure that the individual parties to an agreement are who they claim to be. The State may suffer a loss if the notary public forgets to properly validate the identity of the parties.
As a public official, the notary violates the public trust by failing in their responsibility to confirm identity. If a Maine notary public doesn’t confirm identity and a loss occurs, an injured party can file a claim against that State for its loss, because the State was negligent through its appointed representative.
A notary bond is a promise to pay to the obligee (the State) should losses occur for a penalty amount of the bond. Notary Public bonds are generally provided by a surety company (typically an insurance carrier). The bond generally runs concurrently with the term of a notary’s commission.
You may be familiar with a home insurance policy. When a person has a property insurance in Indiana loss, the insurance carrier pays the claim and writes off the loss. You aren’t required to reimburse the company for the claim. Unlike a homeowners insurance policy however, a notary bond is simply a guarantee that the finances will be available should losses occur. The surety (insurance company) makes a payment to the State up to the penalty amount of the bond. However, this loss paid by the carrier is not simply written off. The carrier will most likely seek reimbursement from the bonded party, the notary themself.
A notary bond protects the public. Who protects the notary? Insurance coverage is available to provide this protection – it’s called Notary Errors and Omissions and may also be purchased for a nominal fee from insurance carriers.

Each accredited member of the American Society of Appraisers has earned a professional designation in one or more specialized areas of appraisal. To receive the accreditation, the aircraft appraiser must pass intensive written examinations, submit representative appraisal reports for peer review and be screened for his or her ethical behavior.
Every accredited appraiser must start his or her ASA membership as a Candidate member. In order to be accepted for Candidate membership, the prospective Candidate must be interviewed and approved by his or her local chapter. Subsequently, each Candidate must pass ASA’s Ethics Examination and an examination on the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP) within a specified period of time.
(The Uniform Standards are published each year by The Appraisal Foundation, authorized by Congress as the source of appraisal standards and appraiser qualifications.) The Candidate’s technical appraisal proficiency and understanding of the fundamentals of appraisal ethics, principles and concepts are evaluated by intensive written and oral examinations.
Copies of the Candidate’s appraisal reports are reviewed and must meet professional criteria. When the Candidate has met all these requirements and has gained the necessary experience, he or she may apply for advancement to Accredited Member or Accredited Senior Appraiser status. To qualify for the Accredited Member designation (AM), an individual must have at least two years of full-time equivalent appraisal experience and a college degree or its equivalent.
To qualify for the Accredited Senior Appraiser designation (ASA), aircraft appraisers must have a minimum of 5 years of full-time equivalent appraisal experience and a college degree or its equivalent. To achieve the Fellow designation (FASA), an Accredited Senior Appraiser must be recognized by ASA’s International Board of Governors for outstanding services to the appraisal profession and/or the society.
ASA has a mandatory reaccredidation process whereby designated members must regularly submit evidence of professional growth through participation in professional activities and continuing education. This ensures that ASA appraisers keep their knowledge up-to-date.
The appraisers at Aviation Management Consulting, Inc. are American Society of Appraisers Accredited Senior Appraisers.

Surveys of human populations and institutions are common in political polling and government, health, social science and marketing research. A survey may focus on opinions or factual information depending on its purpose, and many surveys involve administering questions to individuals.
A paid or incentivized survey is a type of statistical survey where the participant is rewarded through an incentive program, generally entry into a sweepstakes program or a small cash reward, for completing one or more surveys.
